Just checking

Wanted to check something. You recommend:
setcookie ("name[first]", "Dennis", time() + (60*60*24));
setcookie ("name[last]", "Pallett", time() + (60*60*24));

as a way of getting arrays into a php cookie, wouldn't this technically set 2 cookies?

Cookies not reliable.

While cookies can come in handy in some cases, when it comes to user authentication, PHP sessions are much more reliable. Many people have cookies disabled for various reasons, so if you use sessions, you eliminate the problem of some people not having access to your site.
